The direction of the EP was both experimental and honoring my roots as a singer and pianist.
I wanted to try my hand at production and songwriting which is prominent throughout the project.
As for genres I went the route of west coast hip/hop, choral/classical music, alternative r&b, and synth-pop elements.
"Is Anybody Home?" is a question I posed to myself. Do I know who I am outside of these experiences? Who was I before all this? Who am I even becoming?
This is a starting point of self realization.
A point of reference for finding my "sound". A point of reference expressing experiences around mental health, depression, self love, & heartbreak.
Lastly; getting back to what I'm passionate about because home is where the heart is.
