Solo artist out of Brisbane, Australia. Bicycle Thief labels himself as lo-fi bedroom punk & alternative rock. He has a sound built around the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Wavves & King Krule, and is inspired by the DIY bedroom artist scene of Clairo & Rex Orange County. Combining hip hop style beats with raw rock layering, he follows the ethos of what a modern punk rock artist can be.

November 2021 marks the return of Bicycle Thief, with the new single ‘A Man Like Me’. This song harkens back to classic psychedelic rock ballads of the 1980’s, with dream like vocals and a soaring guitar driven climax that closes out the track. It juxtaposes dreamy melancholy moments with hard, punk rock elements; not dissimilar to last year’s EP ‘You Were My Rock And Roll’. No doubt this represents another step in this artist’s evolution, to create a sound that can only be labelled as ‘bedroom punk/alternative rock’.

Whatever people may say about the genre, this signifies a contemporary space for Rock N Roll.
