"Big Bay Allen is a powerhouse lyricist, songsmith, and performer with more than 35 years experience! Grew up in the Piedmont State, a native of Virginia Beach, VA…now living in Western Pennsylvania, where he regularly plays in Pittsburgh and Erie venues.
Bay was a semifinalist at the International Blues Challenge in 2024, held on historic Beale Street in Memphis, TN.
Since Memphis, “Big” Bay has been busy writing, performing, and on October 31, 2024, he released his new album “Love One Another”, his debut blues album available on Lightning in a Bottle Records.
A master in Piedmont/Fingerstyle Country Blues, he is equally at home playing energized electric guitar-driven blues. Bay is also a champion autoharp player, and is a sought after teacher across the United States. He is a published poet, a pastor, a husband, and father of two. .. and is always in the lookout for the perfect slice of pizza.
