BIG SONO
(Believer in God) Son Of No One was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, California.
His Love for Jazz, Funk, Rap, and 80's Music began at an early age. From listening to Roy Ayers, N.W.A. and A Tribe Called Quest these artists heavlily influenced Big Sono;s eclectic taste in music.
At the age of 12 BIG SONO saved up his allowance and bought his first turntables. That same year he met up with his neighbor DJ BATTLECAT and he has been his mentor ever since.
Wirh his love of the Kick (BOOM) and Snare (BAP) drum sounds, BIG SONO made his first mixed tape at Egyptian Lovers house produced by David "LiL Egypt" and the rest is history!
BIG SONO has made 7 albums His last album "Dinner for Breakfast" dropped in November 2023.
BIG SONO has collaborated with many artists and producers including: Frank and Dank, Illenmillen, Ty Dolla Sign, DJ Battlecat, Mofak "Mofeezy", Aceman, Big2daboy, Cappadonna (from Wu-Tang Clan), LIL SODI, Dre_Vishiss, Iman Omari, Mrsurprizela and Illcamille.
BIG SONO is currently working with up and coming artists; India.Soul, Monteaga_K, DonDUBB, Giffyoro, LIL Zeusy and Johnny Domo
BIG SONO has brought back the Boom Bap sound which is primarily associated with the East Coast Hip Hop sound while adding a West Coast slump vibe to his beats, music and wityy lyrics.
