Stephone "Big Step" Jones was born in Tampa, Florida and was naturally drawn to music having growing up in a musically inclined family and being a part of the church and school choir . Furthermore, his music teacher in Elementary (Mother Shaw), was also the pianist and first lady at the church his family attended. This made falling into the abyss of music that much more simpler … 


Big Step’s interest for writing hip hop and performing lyrics peaked at the age of 12 years old while forming a rap group with other teen artist from the inner city. He begin to cultivate skills throughout his teenage years that further developed when he studied Recording Arts and Music Business Law and Ethics at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.  During his musical journey, he realized that becoming a recording artists and Record Label CEO was his purpose. This is how Threat Records and Studio LLC became established in 2019 and is still flourishing to this day. Nowadays, you can find Big Step on any given night performing live, recording in Houston, Texas or collaborating with many notable recording artist in the U.S such as Yo Majesty, Jwl B, MTF Joe Montana, etc.
