BIILMANN was born in late 2018 off the back of the love of rock and the collaboration of four individuals. The result is a boiling pot of hard rock served with a side of the blues. Founding members Jack Biilmann (vocals, guitar & lyrics), Joe Biilmann (drums) Todd Gregory (bass) began compiling a group of musical ideas together in September 2018 with the intention to create a new hard edged musical footprint which at the latter stages saw the inclusion of Pat Quinn Quirke as a second guitarist.
Each band member has a strong musical past, boasting achievements such as itunes #1 singles, guitar endorsements, big name supports, international touring, international songwriting competition nominations and major festival appearances. Notable band memberships include Hancock Basement, Using Three Words (Todd Gregory), Jack Biilmann, The Second Hand Salmon (Biilmann brothers) and Kilroy (Pat Quinn Quirke). Calling on influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Pearl Jam and Kings Of Leon sees BIILMANN create rock soundscapes with emphasis on riffs, soaring vocals, melody and unmistakable flow.
After spending the last 12 months working with sought after producers Matt Barnes, Damian Blankley and Kay Ansah, BIILMANN finished recording the "Sink Like A Stone" EP which is set for a release in March 2020. The debut EP delivers timeless blues influenced hard rock sounds with a modern twist, strong riffs, power, attitude and calculated musicianship.
