Billie Blue & The Nowhere Men have carved a niche in the Malaysian independent music scene with their distinct sound which pendulums between hard-hitting and evocative. Their central outfit is comprised of the American-Malaysian vocalist Billie Blue, guitarist Soheil who hails from Tehran, bassist David Harding from Petaling Jaya, and drummer Thevareuben from Kuala Lumpur.
Interpreting the sensibilities of folk rock and acid rock of the 60’s and 70’s through a modern lens, the group draws inspiration from bands like Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and Jefferson Airplane as well as folk troubadours such as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. Affectionately known as BBTNM, the band delivers driving rhythms and sensitive vocals with a musical approach that is decidedly introspective, bohemian and always electrifying.
