Having spent years writing in a multitude of genres and styles from the safety of his bedroom, Billy left his quiet, private space to reveal the results of this prolonged period of creative incubation.
Southampton-based artist Billy Bligh leans into a feeling-led writing style that explores themes of identity, technology and modern relationships to a backdrop of electronic indie-pop. Inspired by the works of <a href="spotify:artist:7zrkALJ9ayRjzysp4QYoEg" data-name="Maribou State">Maribou State</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4MXUO7sVCaFgFjoTI5ox5c" data-name="Sufjan Stevens">Sufjan Stevens</a> alike, Billy combines anthemic hooks and grooves with a bleak lyrical style.
His debut single 'Inertia' explores the emotional turbulence and feelings of apprehension behind momentous choices. Billy is currently working on a number of future releases for 2021.
