Billy had great success in the 80s and 90s with his own original bands, touring with Ozzy Osbourne, Roger Daltrey and Uriah Heep.
in fact it was Ozzy himself who suggested Billy take up lead vocal after hearing him sing at soundcheck on his 'No Rest for the Wicked' Tour.
Billy also sang Orchestral Zeppelin with the full 65 piece Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in New Zealand after a world wide search for the right vocalist to front this fantastic project.
In the 90's Billy also recorded with musicians such as Neil Murray - Whitesnake, Scott Gorham - Thin Lizzy and Don Airey - Deep Purple.
Best known as the lead vocal for Letz Zep, the worlds Number One tribute to Led Zeppelin, even Robert Plant was curious enough to come and hear Billy sing 'Walked in, I saw me' was his comment
