Bishal Karim began his music career with aspirations of creating a reputable presence for the hip-hop/rap genre in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he was born and raised. His music is a blend of raspy cloud rap and trap which pays homage to new age rap inspired by artists such as Drake, Norman Perry, Prince Of Falls, Kendrick Lamar, Young Thug, and Lil Baby. He started recording songs at the age of 12 and dabbling in the world of battle raps on deshirhymes.com forum at the age of 13. His vision fueled by his passion has evolved him from a kid on a forum to the artist he is today. Focusing on his music and performing live, Bishal Karim has gained the recognition of the country's hip-hop veterans and has earned himself a reputable spot in the hip hop scene. Bishal has not only dropped several hits in the last few years, collaborating with other talented artists on many, but some of his other accomplishments include bringing Akcent to Dhaka, organizing BD Hip Hop Fest, and founding New Wave. Bishal collaborated with underground international artists to represent his nation overseas and earned himself a top 3 spot on VIMA ASIA Awards 2014 for best Hip Hop Music for his single “Hella Faded”. His love for hip-hop inspires him constantly to diversify the scene and showcase the potential of homegrown talent.
