Swedish/Ethiopian artist, songwriter, producer and Swedish Grammy nominee BISHAT has with only a handful of releases already been recognised as one of the most exciting new artists coming out os Sweden; her R&B-influenced pop sound familiar yet all her own.
A true DIY artist in every sense, she’s been putting out her music independently & she's already been awarded titles like “Best New Artist” & “One’s to watch” by Complex, Highsnobiety & Clash Magazine. Her music has been played on radio both in Sweden and internationally with early support from BBC Introducing.
Bishat is also a platinum selling songwriter having penned songs for both Swedish and international artists; the latest cut being Oritsé Williams track - Language which trended on Tiktok UK. She also wrote Cazzi Opeia’s platinum record “I Can’t Get Enough” which was competing for Sweden's bid in Eurovision Song Contest and ended up top 5 on Spotify Top 50.
Debut EP "WHO HURT YOU?" garnered her a nomination for a Swedish Grammy as well as DENNIZ POP AWARDS, a prestigious award with a jury including Max Martin & Tove Lo, honouring future international stars to carry on the Swedish pop legacy.
