Bitter Lakes are a Melbourne-based quartet comprised of zero native Melburnians, but four best pals. Formed in 2017, they have spent the past couple of years supporting the likes of Tiny Moving Parts (USA), The Bennies, and Jacob (NSW) to name a few. 2020 was slated to be their busiest year of live shows yet, but have instead spent the year finalising their debut untitled EP, due for release November 6th 2020.
The untitled EP was produced, engineered and mixed by Cameron Hull (drums) at Wick Studios in Brunswick. Self-producing afforded the group the opportunity to find their own voice at their own pace.
The lyrics throughout the EP are a self-reflective journey highlighting the demons we face when processing love/loss, backed by anthemic, triumphant choruses. Expect great guitar tones, melancholic vocals and plenty of feels.
