Black Eyed Children is the brainchild of frontman and multi-instrumentalist Sidious XIII. He derives his inspiration musically from multiple atmospheric black metal bands like Battle Dagorath, Darkspace, Darchon, and fellow Oklahoma black metal band Synodic and Norwegian black metal Tsjuder, Taake, Emperor, and many others.
Sidious formed the band in 2016 as a one-man act, sharing his works online with various friends and followers in an attempt to establish a fanbase. During this time, Sidious was playing bass for the blackened death metal band Daemon Rising. Black Eyed Children began working with producer Patrick Robinson on the debut album at his Hellbound Productions group in Oklahoma City and after the completion of the album, they signed with DSN Music in November of 2017. BEC released the debut album "Until the Void Consumes Us" on January 2nd, 2018.
June 12, 2018, Black Eyed Children released their follow up EP "Eternal Black Within the Void." "Eternal Black Within the Void" is a four-song EP that picks up where "Until the Void Consumes Us" leaves off. The EP also introduces new members to the project. Sidious enlisted the services of Ben Stire (Hyperborean Skies) on guitars and programming and Joseph Wrobel (Daemon Rising) on bass and programming. The three will be partnering with producer R. Graham (Black Tie Event, Nowhere, Dark Secret Project) in 2019 for the writing, engineering and mastering of Black Eyed Children's forthcoming second album coming in 2020.
