During a bout of major depression, I had this idea that traveling through a black hole wouldn’t result in being crushed by infinite weight. Instead, your body would transmute and you’d be alive in another dimension. This idea of making it through hell and existing in other timelines carries over into our music. Black Hole Zion is a heavy metal band in one timeline. In another, it’s electronic music. In yet another, it’s bubblegum pop. The version of Black Hole Zion you’re hearing right now is whatever version you’re drawn to, and it is still made up of all those other versions you might never hear. Whatever, right?
