London-based Black Orkhid started life in 2015 as a two piece, a project of childhood friends Elliot Black (Guitar) and Pip Circuit (Bass). Drawing on influences including Black Sabbath and the contemporary desert and stoner rock/metal scenes, the band aspired towards a live music experience that could be both fun and unpretentious. It wasn’t until a year later, when drummer and Leeds native George Payiatis was added to the lineup, that the band truly found their sound.

An unconventional addition to the London metal scene, Black Orkhid have released two EPs, their debut Diamondback (2016) and 2017’s riotous Osteoblast.
