Black Tie Event is a Indie-Pop band with elements of funk, rock, disco, and R&B. Founded in 2014 by brothers Mike and Noah Andelin, the band has evolved over the years from a primarily rock sound to a more funk and disco-influenced style, inspired by the likes of Nile Rodgers. Their 2017 debut album, 'A Black Tie Event,' showcased their rock roots, drawing inspiration from the Beatles, Muse, and the White Stripes, while their latest album release, 'Freaks' (2021), combines pop-rock with funk and disco elements, influenced by the likes of Parcels and Foster the People. The current lineup includes Mike Andelin on vocals and guitar, Noah Andelin on vocals and bass, Ryan Huey on lead guitar and Keyboard, and Barrett Dorny on drums.
