Blackout Season are the post punk alt rock band that will make you afraid to leave the house. With heavy influences from Royal Blood, Highly Suspect and Arctic Monkeys they have found a unique sound that will stick with you for weeks on end.
Guitarist and Vocalist Alex Close met Bassist Johnny Morgan to form the band with their former drummer in late 2016. The band were joined on the drums by the bearded heavyweight Jack Luke earlier this year, to complete the line up.
After doing some work with Musicians Against Homelessness and playing several independent gigs with power duos Chicago Typewriter, and Fagash McCann, alongside multiple gigs with BGO productions; Blackout Season decided to continue their momentum which seen them record and release their current single “do you?”. Bayview sounds said it “instantly hits with the audacious sound that Blackout Season are known for”.
Currently Blackout Season are preparing for their final gigs of 2019 which includes the debut show of Cuckoo’s Breakout Live Music. The band also have hinted at new music being in the works which could be what sets them off in 2020.
