Emmanuel Simpson, better known by his stage name Blackson, has solidified his presence in the rap scene with a series of notable achievements and collaborations. Born on March 26th, 1987, in Aversa, Italy, he discovered a passion for rap music in his youth and honed his skills in freestyle cyphers and Hip Hop Jams. His early recognition came when he secured the second place in the 2002 freestyle contest at Valpolicella Sound Park, marking the beginning of a series of competitive successes, including memorable battles against Dank MC and victories in prestigious contests like the "Ground Zero battle," "Tecniche Perfette," and the "Honiro freestyle Battle."In 2012, Blackson's career took a significant leap with the release of "School of Hard Knocks" with H.K.T., followed by appearances on "Italy's Got Talent" and "MTV Spit." His solo career further expanded in 2015 with the "Halfa ep," and he continued to release impactful music, including singles like "Samuel L Jackson" and albums like "Never Back Down”. After realising “Outsider” in 2021 his latest ventures include a collaboration in 2023 with Scottish rapper Shogun, known from the TV show "Rap Game U.K.," indicating a promising direction for his career. Currently residing in Leeds, Blackson is gearing up for a significant comeback, demonstrating his enduring talent and influence in the rap industry.
