Blackspur Saints make music for people who like their country loud, their stories a little dangerous, and their humor just this side of a bad decision.
Blending modern Texas country, outlaw attitude, Southern rock and cinematic Western storytelling, Blackspur Saints move easily between dusty tales of gunslingers, outlaws and oilfield life, rowdy songs about beer, exes, questionable friends and decisions that seemed like a good idea at the time — and the quieter songs that stay with you: the love that didn't survive the road, the hometown that isn't there anymore, the goodbye nobody was ready for.
The Saints aren't interested in polished perfection. Their sound is built around gritty vocals, pounding drums, honky-tonk piano, fiddle, harmonica and guitars, with songs designed to feel just as comfortable blasting down a Texas highway as they do coming from a crowded roadhouse stage.
Sometimes the stories get dark. Sometimes they're ridiculous. Sometimes the women are more dangerous than the men. And sometimes a song just stops you in your tracks and hits you right in the chest — because the Saints believe a song should make you feel something, whether that's laughing, raising a glass, or sitting quiet for a minute after it ends. But whether it's an outlaw running from his past or some idiot saying, "Watch this," every Blackspur Saints song has one thing in common:
There's a story worth telling.
Pull up a chair. Grab a beer.
You're probably going to fit right in.
