Formed in 2015, this talented trio features established musicians Martin Botha ( guitar and vocals), Hannes van Wyk (Bass) and Stefan Nel (drums).
They have their own unique style, a blend of genres inspired predominantly by guitar-driven, old school blues - or “Blues for the working man” as they often describes it.
Martin Botha’s vocals are deep, dirty, gutsy and raw and BlackWater’s performances are filled with such sincere emotion that it’s clear music is a passionate priority for all. The band presents a powerful rhythm section, raw guitar tones and commanding vocals. Their live act is impressive too and is supported by a fantastic album, titled Leavin’ the Station, which showcases BlackWater’s ability and versatility.
