Anthony Roca, who is known better on stage as Blame2628 is making waves in the music industry and is undoubtedly an artist to keep your eye on. At 36 years young, born and raised in lively Manhattan, Blame has had music in his blood from a very young age, though got in the game professionally at age 21. He grew up listening to a wide variety of genres, ranging from salsa, all the way to hip hop and realized he wanted to write his own music when he found himself switching song lyrics out for his own.
“I continue to write music because it’s like therapy for me, it allows me to express myself and it takes me away from any problems or anything negative going on in my life. I just really enjoy making music.” Anthony says. Having never ventured into any career outside of this industry, Blame’s whole heart and soul lives and breathes music.


Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Wu-Tang, Biggie Smalls, Nas and Jay- Z are all artists he considers idols, but when asked who he really looks up to in the industry, he steers more towards P. Diddy, Jay Z and Dr. Dre as they all come from nothing and have grown to build true empires. “I’m consistent and very passionate about what I do. Not to say that no one else is, but my work ethic speaks for itself.” This is what Blame says sets him apart from other artists. “I don’t need people to care about my music, I want people to enjoy it, and be able to use it to get away from anything negative they may be going through” he says.
