Lansing area four piece indie rock band Blank Mirror expresses tender emotions through “The Ability To Pause Time And Only Pause It.” While cruising through the album you will find your way through familiar pit stops that all will travel to at one time or another. Along those pit stops expect an indie influenced rock drive to take you to a place of chilling introspect, a warm blanket of love and embrace, and the weightless flight of freedom.
Blank Mirror’s roots are laid down in small town Mason, Michigan where three high school friends, despite having little experience on their respective instruments, decided to start a band. Their passion overcame the difficulties that come with learning an instrument and they were soon up and ready to get down to business. Founding members Andy Peffers (bass/vocals), Thomas Norton (guitar/vocals), and Chayse Hartsuff (percussion) started writing together in the winter of 2017. Although they are heavily indie and alternative rock based their writing style pulls from an amalgamation of genres from hard rock to funk and jazz spices. After a year of recording a demo album consisting of 10 original songs entitled “The Ability to Pause Time and Only Pause It,” the trio brought on guitarist Mason Ridge and has since begun writing an upcoming full length album while becoming closer as a band and as friends.
