Since 2017, DMV-based Pop/R&B artist blasé has been carving out his own space, blending raw emotion with polished production.
Montgomery County native Rohith Sebastian—better known as blasé—honed his craft at the University of Maryland, where a few SoundCloud demos led to a string of singles in 2018. By graduation, he had built a strong local presence, performing at venues like Milkboy Arthouse.
In 2020, he and longtime collaborator mikewave released Vitae, their debut album under 3:33AM Multimedia Collective. Two years later, they co-founded the Lemon Zest Festival, celebrating independent music and art.

In 2024, blasé and mikewave hit the road, performing across the DMV, Philly, and New York while crafting their sophomore album. They launched this next chapter on January 31st with 35mm, a cinematic glimpse into their most ambitious project yet—blending music and storytelling into something greater than the sum of its parts.
On March 31, they followed up with Candy Cigarette, a dance-pop record that expands their sonic palette while staying true to their signature storytelling.
