Like most bands <a href="spotify:artist:24XZ9bcYXL56GzdCZSbWhb" data-name="Blasteroid">Blasteroid</a>, a Brooklyn-based, post-rock sometimes quartet, was founded over the phone on Christmas Eve. Their signature sound simmers shoegaze and slacker rock over medium-low heat for 10 minutes — stirring often until thick — before adding three crushed cloves of noise rock and setting aside to cool.
In 2015 they released their really great EP <a href="spotify:album:6iQfZIOrkgssFYf2ggRlcH" data-name="Pretty Good">Pretty Good</a> and in 2017 they released a mini-EP, <a href="spotify:album:47emqRutim5tVTVwXAi12j" data-name="The World Is a Terrible Garage / Death of a Lobster">The World Is a Terrible Garage / Death of a Lobster</a>. In January of 2018, sandwiched between two band boy birthdays, they've released their saddest effort yet, <a href="spotify:album:5Jy1Q2OackVyGKnj03XXzx" data-name="If I Could Show You / Triple D">If I Could Show You / Triple D</a>.
In their free time, Blasteroid enjoys exploding amps and breaking hearts.
