In early 2021, a group of friends from the Philippines decided to create a music group by the name of “Bleak Society” in order to showcase their talents in producing, singing, and creating visual art. They started by making lofi music but then ventured into different genres such as Rap, Bedroom Pop, and Emo Rap. Their first EP, “Phobias”, was influenced by Shiloh Dynasty and was created via voice messages and a digital audio workstation. Through the use of discord, the music group is able to continue making music even though there are quarantine restriction.
