Crenshaw District native. BLESS E$CRO is among the pure breed of artist emerging from the inner-cities of Los Angeles. Born in the Leimert Park section of South Central, he aesthetically promotes his section of the city through vivid imagery and ergonomic word play. Although from the West Coast, the film-directing emcee’s style is often placed deep within the boroughs of New York City. In 2014, he partnered with close friend and fellow film-director Calmatic & Dj Naff to create the Swapmeet Records creative group. His latest mixtape release, entitled “Stolen Herringbone” includes a self-directed four episode short-film released on the label. His works are a cornucopia of abstract street artistry, depicted through raw music and cinema.
