Blitzkrieg Season is a progressive metal band from Florida with the goal of creating uplifting, potent music to blast into your ears.
The band originated in late 2018 with the release of an abrasively arrogant and raw self-titled EP which was solely written and recorded by the vocalist/guitarist, Joshua Lopez, and mixed and mastered by a fellow Florida resident, Stuart Richardson. In 2019, pieces began to fall into place as the solo project became a band with the introduction of Kurt Lamp (Men Against Fire) on bass and Patrick Murr on lead guitar. The lads spent some amount of months putting together a full-length album which continued to see the high-quality production treatment from sound engineering wizard Stuart Richardson. This album, "Not Enough to Give", was an intense and diverse pallet of heavy and melodic songs that cemented the bands sound as a technical and experimental, yet catchy and sharp display of musical ability. The album was followed up with DIY music videos for "By the Wayside" and "Wasting" which showcase the less serious side of the band, featuring Virtual Reality gameplay synced up with blistering guitar solos... and propeller hats!
"Not Enough to Give" caught the attention of Orlando drummer John West, who took the band from having a solely online presence to having the ability to take their music to the stage, which happened in February 2020 with a packed out debut show at the Standard Collective venue in the Eau Gallie Arts District.
