After releasing their critically adored debut single ‘<a href="spotify:album:4PPUgBx3ILnRkcb9K7tz0o" data-name="Dissolve">Dissolve</a>’, Sydney-based experimental-electronica duo <a href="spotify:artist:5ZrzsDEtKozUIt9Z2twHFU" data-name="Blondebears">Blondebears</a> return with the enthralling and atmospheric follow up ‘<a href="spotify:track:6gjLOmj47oaWAwduzpj3RQ" data-name="Sedative (Laura)">Sedative (Laura)</a>’ – produced and recorded by both members Jake Stiles and Sebastian Morales at their Sydney-based studios.

Awash with sonic textures, the dark and dreamy ‘Sedative’ further shines a light on the group’s ability to push songcraft boundaries with meticulous delivery and cohesive finishing. Flawlessly navigated by its apt builds and drops, the hypnotic piece comes to life with spellbinding production finesse.

Stiles describes the storyline behind the track:

“’Sedative’ recounts the story of a man who experiences a bipolar relationship. He largely accepts blame for the breakdowns and failures; struggling to ever forgive himself. He never moves on with his life and carries these burdens to his untimely death”.

Euphoric debut cut ‘Dissolve’ was widely embraced by tastemakers, including outstanding reviews and support from worldwide blogs, triple j, MTV, ABC’s Rage, community radio stations FBi, SYN and 4ZZZ, and was added to a slew of Spotify play lists including New Music Friday, Top-Shelf Electronic, Indie Arrivals, The Australian Sound, Australian and New Zealand Viral Hits and charted in the top ten of the Australian Viral Charts.
