Bloodrain

Bloodrain is a fierce force in the world of extreme metal, blending the intensity of melodic death metal with the dark, atmospheric elements of black metal. Formed in Peru in 2004 and now based in the Netherlands, Bloodrain is primarily a studio project that has crafted a distinct sound merging aggressive riffs, blistering drumwork, and haunting melodies to create an immersive sonic experience.

Since the band's inception, Luis Del Castillo has been the backbone of Bloodrain, serving as guitarist since 2004 and bassist since 2015. David Paredes, who played bass from 2004 to 2010, has also been integral to the band's sound as a co-producer since 2015, shaping their evolving musical direction. In 2022, Adrian Erlandsson, known for his work with At the Gates, Cradle of Filth, Paradise Lost, and The Haunted, joined as the drummer, bringing a new level of intensity and technical prowess to their already crushing sound.

Bloodrain's music delves into themes of death, isolation, despair, and depression, with a ferocious yet melodic approach that pushes the boundaries of the genre. Influenced by bands such as At the Gates, Rotting Christ, Emperor, Testament, In Flames, and Dethklok, Bloodrain blends the aggression of death metal with the dark atmospheres of black metal, creating a sound that is both brutal and atmospheric. Though primarily a studio-based endeavor, Bloodrain’s sound is a haunting journey into darkness, where every note feels like a descent into emotional chaos.
