Combining the grit and presence of garage-rock, and the intricate harmonies of jazz, with a laid back SoCal sound, Blu Dream brings an authentic and goofy energy to the stage and the studio. The band strives to create captivating music woven with meaningful and vulnerable lyrics, all in their own DIY studio. Everything is done in-house: writing, recording, mixing, mastering, filming, and editing.
With an educated background in jazz-guitar and theory, and a shared hatred of power chords and stable harmonies, the band lives in a cave of fungi, hidden from the harsh lights of mainstream indie music. Like mushrooms feeding off Earth’s toxic debris, the band re-imagines an underground indie-rock sound that sustains itself on dissidence and instability. Mushroom taste may vary.
