Blue For You is the project of 23 year old singer, songwriter, and producer Derek Bond. He released his first self titled EP in 2019, followed by the EP Sad Board Games in the same year. He released a slew of singles until releasing his first album, Emotional Wallpaper, in 2021. The name of the album was inspired by an article stating that mainstream Spotify playlists were merely “emotional wallpaper” for listeners fo cling to. Blue For You’s upcoming album, Acid Casualty, is a compilation of songs written over the past five years. Due to worsening mental health and work related stress, he has had trouble finding the motivation to write and release music. Yet, he still hopes to connect with listeners who are struggling with mental health and continues to write music. The release date of Acid Casualty is yet to be determined. “The mixing isn’t quite right yet,” says Bond. “I just need to tweak this thing, and maybe try a new method of panning with the direction mixer, and maybe add some saturation to the vocals because it sounds kinda muddy, and I swear to god the more hours I spend turning various knobs IT JUST SOUNDS WOR—-“
