Matthias De Herdt, born in Rumst, Belgium, started his musical journey by mixing vinyl records at the age of 16, quickly immersing himself in the world of drum & bass before transitioning into music production. In 2012, he teamed up with Jelle De Maeyer to form Station Earth. Known for tracks like “Cold Green Eyes,” “Astral Walker,” and “Manoeuvres - Mad World (Station Earth Remix),” they garnered over 12 million streams on Spotify and performed at major festivals like Tomorrowland and Rampage.

In 2017, Matthias started his solo project, Blue Marble, inspired by the iconic image of Earth that represents its beauty and diversity, aiming to reflect that same sense of wonder and unity in his music.

Within the first year, Blue Marble collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Ayah Marar, Gennady Tkachenko-Papizh, and Josh Roa. His 2019 remix of Roos Denayer’s “The Style of Evermore” has surpassed 2 million streams on Spotify. With releases on Liquicity Records and the establishment of his own imprint, Marble Recordings, Blue Marble is actively making an impact in the scene.

Today, he combines his musical journey with his work with horses, which provides him with so much inspiration that it has led to the creation of over 12 aliases across various genres, reflecting his commitment to musical versatility and creativity.
