Blue Page plays real electric fusion, inspired by classic acts such as The Chick Corea Electric Band, Herbie Hancock and The Dave Weckl Band, as well as newer artist Snarky Puppy.
Jazz, Funk, Latin and Rock are the main ingredients in the musical melting pot that is Blue Page. The band has a dedicated work ethic towards creating serious compositions and interesting arrangements and flows with ease through themes and variations as well as improvisations, creating an expression that is sure to always surprise and never bore the listener!
Blue Page originated in the early 2000’s at The Rhythmic Music Conservatory of Copenhagen. The band worked around Denmark for a couple of years, but everybody in the band got busy with their solo-careers as sidemen in other projects and the band dissolved. But the members still got to play with each other during the years for different artists and the urge to re-unite the band was an ongoing topic for conversation. Everybody missed the core of what makes fusion-music so much fun; the freedom to express yourself, mix all genres and break down the boundaries and just create MUSIC!
In 2016 Blue Page was reunited as a studio project doing “Live Sessions” produced in drummer Mikkel Villingshøj’s studio, and they had so much fun that they now are back as a full-time band and are more than ready to once again go out and play LIVE!
Blue Page:
Kristof Jasik: Keyboards
Michael Dahl Hansen: Guitar
Simon Dyhr: Bas
Mikkel Villingshøj: Drums
