Meet BLUEOX – A psych-rock duo channeling the spirit of <a href="spotify:artist:43O3c6wewpzPKwVaGEEtBM" data-name="My Morning Jacket">My Morning Jacket</a> and 70’s-era <a href="spotify:artist:0k17h0D3J5VfsdmQ1iZtE9" data-name="Pink Floyd">Pink Floyd</a>. The band’s self-titled debut album dropped in Summer, 2021 to critical acclaim. Their Pink Floyd tribute &#39;Fearless&#39; premiered with Juxtapoz, and single &#39;Black Star Road&#39; premiered with American Songwriter. The BLUEOX anthem &#39;Walk Tall’ was also featured in Variety on Bank Robber Music &amp; Rough Trade Publishing’s “Talk – Action &#61; Zero” compilation in support of the Black Visions Collective.

At its core, BLUEOX is <a href="spotify:artist:6M9KCPvHC2Vjw6OMHlTATi" data-name="Kieran Sullivan">Kieran Sullivan</a> and Donny Dykowsky. The eclectic tracks that fill their debut album are visceral, melodic and unpredictable. BLUEOX delivers an inspired set of songs that nods to rock’s past with fresh eyes, haunting melodies and blood harmonies that imbue each song with a life truly earned.

BLUEOX was named after Kieran’s blue Ford pick up truck, and the fated first session took place on April Fools Day, 2018 - the day that truck was stolen. “I met Donny at a local coffee shop, and we had an inspired chat about music production and our influences,” says Kieran. “From there we hit my studio, threw up some mics, and 2 hours later we had written and recorded our first song ‘Whatever It Is,’ a cinematic piece that pays tribute to our heroes,” says Donny.

Since the release of their debut album, BLUEOX has become a top-20 ‘most added’ artist on College Radio.
