That’s the mission statement and vision of BLUES.NOIR, hailing from the musically acclaimed city of Gothenburg, Sweden (also home to Monolord, At the Gates, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Graveyard and countless other bands).
As the blues over decades has become ever more stagnant, turned into easy listening or performed in concert halls, this power trio brings it back to pummeling rhythms, amp volume and blistering guitar. For flavor, all lyrics are sung in their native language, bringing a unique take on an old school sound. Dark lyrical subject matters are easy to come by in current unruly times, as war rumbles in Eastern Europe and the boot heels of yesteryear tramp ever harder. With amps on eleven and a dose of Lovecraftian horrors for dark measure, BLUES.NOIR will purvey both blues rock as well as stoner & doom fans with a hefty dose of darkness and groove.
