Blvckboy, a rapper, songwriter, and producer whose real name is Gideon Gabriel, was born in Abuja. Blvckboy's sound embodies an enigmatic energy that is hyper - focused on surfacing the listener's rawest most profound thoughts, with a flavor for 808, strings, and steamrolling jet afro house bass lines. His sound is genuine and irreplaceable, with lush textures and silky-smooth beats.

Coming from a classical music family, Blvckboy developed an interest in hip-hop in his mid-teens until 2016, when he introduced his first studio single "Trap Symphony," which piqued the ears of music fans, who demanded more of this gem. His music oscillates between Hip-hop, RnB, Soul, and Afrobeats but never shys away from blending all four varieties to create his unique style of Afro Trip-Hop. He is known for his fluidity with rhymes, wordplay, storytelling, and diversified lyrical themes. Blvckboy has since released nine other singles, the most recent of which were "Like This Freestyle" and "Riding Slowly," with a mixtape in the works for release in the summer of 2022.

Blvckboy draws inspiration from the likes of Saint JHN,6LACK, XXXtentation,J Cole bringing intrinsic lyrical content and a meta narrative that connects with his audience on a gut level, communicating in similar experiences as the legends have.
