Bodhild Vossgård is a Norwegian composer and musician.
Her musical career startet with piano at age 6, and it was also piano she studied at Bergen Music Conservatorium.
However, after hearing Jacqueline Dupré playing Elgar cello concerto she felt that cello was the instrument which could express her feelings even more.
In 1993 she was hired as a cellist in Stavanger symphony orchestra, and she is still there.
In 1996, after a spiritual opening, music came strongly to her. It was so compelling that it was impossible not to write it down.
Since then she has kept on composing and playing her own compositions.
She has made music for chamber orchestra, string quartets, cello solo, voice, sonatas, trios, choir, theatre, film, fairytale and ballet.
Her music comes from her heart, is played with heart and passion, and reaches hearts.
Her first album STRANDMUMMEL was distributed for sale in 2006.
The solo album FREE was distributed for sale in October 2012. On this album she uses livelooping.
In October 2017 the album OMFAVN was distributed, HJERTEÅPNER in 2018 and her second solo album CELLOGAVER in 2020.
