Scotty Bramer is a jazz guitarist, composer/arranger, and musical artist from Los Angeles, California. Since graduating from USC’s Thornton School of Music in 2011, he has performed and toured with numerous musicians and artists in SoCal and around the country. Scotty is now focused on his original music project called “Bodhisattva,” which was born out of a great desire to express himself in the middle of 2020 when the world was on pause. He had some time to reflect on his life journey, and on all the music that has moved him deeply. Bodhisattva bridges the gaps between a variety of musical styles he loves (jazz, rock, psychedelic, folk, classical, etc.). In a sense, this is a reflection of his desire to bring people together at a time that felt separate and distant. The music combines strong melodies with rich harmonies and textures over danceable grooves. Once the world opened back up again, he began recording and performing this music with real people for live audiences and is grateful to be doing so. :)
