Body Stuff is the solo project of New York City artist Curran Reynolds. Across three EPs (Body Stuff, Body Stuff 2, Body Stuff 3) and one full-length album (Body Stuff 4), a strange vision of heavy, euphoric rock music has emerged. A mix of metallic power and dreamy twang, set against the backdrop of NYC, Body Stuff’s songs hum with longing and triumph. A 2023 review in The Wire Magazine described the sound as “a massive surge of passionate energy… like a hardcore Bruce Springsteen.” A review from Stereogum in that same year compared it to “Springsteen fully embracing his Suicide influence.” Collaborators of the past decade include Xiu Xiu mastermind Jamie Stewart and “I Think We’re Alone Now” superstar Tiffany. Body Stuff has appeared live on bills with the likes of Martin Rev and Godflesh.
