Boeboe hit the scene in 2012 with a small EP ‘Act Stupid/Drop’, which propelled him into the Amsterdam beat scene. He followed this up by remixing for <a href="spotify:artist:2xjVYIMLS3nR5Y1UOr02Vb" data-name="FS Green">FS Green</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4dotQWdBdlBVkGjRmUfnwR" data-name="DJ Abstract">DJ Abstract</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7eK4wPcMgmSIxcGBS2lJl0" data-name="Wouter Hamel">Wouter Hamel</a> and many other artists, and also dropping dancefloor viral bootlegs. He cemented all this with two EP’s on Saturate Records and Basserk Records. Both EP’s were well received, with praising reviews on Complex, XLR8R, DJ-Mag and DJ Broadcast among others.
Despite having somewhat of an underground status Boeboe amassed some impressive numbers. ‘Drift’ passed ten million views on Youtube for example. All this didn’t go over unnoticed internationally: artists like <a href="spotify:artist:5fMUXHkw8R8eOP2RNVYEZX" data-name="Diplo">Diplo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5he5w2lnU9x7JFhnwcekXX" data-name="Skrillex">Skrillex</a>, Just Blaze and <a href="spotify:artist:6p41GgJajkf3W2YXAzL8xC" data-name="Plastician">Plastician</a> played his music and he got radio play all over the globe.
Looking for a new musical challenge he wound up in the Dutch hiphop scene. Through record label Noah’s Ark he met Dutch singer <a href="spotify:artist:0XnberZ5D2ZUrwBm4RfFi4" data-name="Linde Schöne">Linde Schöne</a> for which he ended up doing the majority of production and live shows from 2016 through 2019. They played legendary venue Carré, ‘het Glazen Huis’, tv show De Wereld Draait Door, and went on tour with <a href="spotify:artist:4XQhU3S4TyPkiPIsSu2hmA" data-name="Diggy Dex">Diggy Dex</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:33KABng8GO42ojFJVcABxQ" data-name="Eefje de Visser">Eefje de Visser</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5eir5zFJpES4j7gsymbVyl" data-name="Ronnie Flex">Ronnie Flex</a>.
Currently in a hiatus, Boeboe is gearing up to release new material he’s produced over the past years which shows his evolution as a producer, musician and human being.
