Bog Iron

Born in the fog of the Monterey Bay, Bog Iron is a Celtic rock band with deep roots in the hard rock tradition. We formed in early 2008 with our original lineup: John Michael, Chris Burke, Tim Burke, <a href="spotify:artist:5J9pYgxcct3YBkmpROALrt" data-name="Patrick R. Golden">Patrick R. Golden</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:3OOQQusTFF1ctjOwSiQB2I" data-name="Dave Holodiloff">Dave Holodiloff</a>. In the summer of 2008, Steve Lenard and Peter Sheehan replaced the Brothers Burke, and Dave Holodiloff played his last show with us on St. Patrick’s Day 2009. In 2012 the band played with Lee Patterson (bass) and Matt Dentrone (drums) and in 2013 played with a lineup that included David Ellison (drums) and Avey Gonzalez (bass). It continued throughout 2014, 2015, and 2016 with the addition of Keith Wieland, Keith Graves (touring drummer with <a href="spotify:artist:7zfhej6FnVXN9LIXs6dcoK" data-name="The Tubes">The Tubes</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3HC7NcxQx2Yk0fWoRKJ0xF" data-name="Jefferson Starship">Jefferson Starship</a> , and <a href="spotify:artist:7DCnwoFMqGN6eZULdcLZeL" data-name="Quicksilver Messenger Service">Quicksilver Messenger Service</a> - currently on the road with <a href="spotify:artist:7dOBabd5O4CvKrg4iriHTM" data-name="Kid Rock">Kid Rock</a> ), and Dave Berners.

Currently, the band has John Michael on vocals (Ireland-born), <a href="spotify:artist:5J9pYgxcct3YBkmpROALrt" data-name="Patrick R. Golden">Patrick R. Golden</a> (guitars, originally from Bakersfield, CA - of <a href="spotify:artist:6ZgLfzxtmbgCryQxdXuLve" data-name="Vulture King">Vulture King</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0aUpldE06OD5DcMxYxj528" data-name="The Piscean Creed">The Piscean Creed</a>), Keith Graves (drums), Peter Sheehan (bass, Santa Cruz-based Bon Scott era AC/DC tribute band, Touch&#39;d Too Much ), and Keith Wieland (drums, also from Touch&#39;d Too Much).

The band celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2018 with a brand new album: <a href="spotify:album:2lf4w2W7wEiTp3jQ0ggdl2" data-name="Live Iron (10 Years of Bog Iron)">Live Iron (10 Years of Bog Iron)</a>!
