BOGOH (pronounced bah-go) is a Chicago-area music teacher by day, singer/songwriter and home-studio musician by night. Poetic lyrics, tuneful melodies, obscure key changes, and mixed-meter grooves are the hallmarks of his style. BOGOH is a sponge; influenced by many different artists and genres. For inspiration, he often listens to the music of Rush, the Beatles, Muse, and Billy Joel. The first BOGOH EP, Wutdoyasay, is about learning from loss and appreciating simple joys that present themselves. The songs were written in the stolen moments of everyday life, usually late at night after the family was asleep and the house was quiet. BOGOH played and sang most of the parts himself, but collaborated on two tracks with fellow musicians Oodles (electric guitar on "us") and the late Robert Hodac (accordion on "Shades"). The album is dedicated to BOGOH's dad - Robert Hodac, his hero and biggest influence in music, and in life.
