Born Ishmael Hamid popularly known as Bollie.
I am a Ghanaian - UK based artist whose first love has always been music. I gained recognition back in 2004 in Ghana when I got featured on a compilation titled Sounds Of Our Time with a single track titled” You May Kiss Your Bride”. The compilation was put together by a legendary beat producer in Ghana (Edward Osei Poku) also known as hammer of The Last Two.
I later relocated to the UK and joined forces with a very good friend of mine as a duo band performing and releasing music. As a duo, the journey of music has been exciting with countless opportunities gaining exposure on UK prime TV, signing a record deal, performing in and outside the country, toured in almost all the biggest UK arenas, signed endorsement deals, collaborating with the likes of 2baba from Nigeria, Jamaican dancehall king Beenie Man etc, releasing singles and two studio albums.
I have learned and grown musically over the years throughout my journey blending my afro root vibes with dancehall and reggae influence creating a unique tone as an afro pop singer, dancehall/rap artist.
There have been good and bad times in pursuing music, but the challenges have thought me to be a stronger person and the good times have thought me never to give up on my capabilities, dreams and aspirations.
My growth, my experiences and maturity in music is what I share with world so join my journey for its always full of good vibes and positive energy.
