Bonnie Mercer

Bonnie Mercer is a highly acclaimed Melbourne based musician whose distinctive guitar playing has made her one of Australia's most well respected and sought after musicians. She has opened for Earth, Shellac, Sleep, Boris, Grouper, Thrones, John Wiese, and performed as a showcasing artist at SXSW. Her sound is instantly recognisable - warm, loud and earth shattering; simultaneously subtle and compelling, beautiful and powerful, her command of the instrument is enthralling to see and hear.

A member of three-piece <a href="spotify:artist:04jiz8pBHRBpcemrU7pToM" data-name="Grey Daturas">Grey Daturas</a> (2001-2010), the band became renowned for their feedback soaked live performances which incorporated drones, hypnotic rhythmic passages and psychedelic guitar lines, all produced at extreme volumes.

Bonnie has played in a long list of both Australian and international bands, and has toured and collaborated with many more across a long and successful career spanning more than two decades. Her music is compelling, purposeful and engaging.
