Irish-Australian multi-instrumentalist, drummer and songwriter Bonniesongs unveils her latest track “Bittersweet”, out now via Australian boutique label Impressed Recordings.
Bonniesongs has been crafting her signature ‘Ethereal Grunge’ sound since her breakout in 2019. Now, she steps into a new era with “Bittersweet” - a vibrant follow-up to last year’s “Halloween Birthday” and a playful ode to finding joy in chaos. Born from the challenges of the COVID era, the track captures the feeling of freedom and moving forward. After returning to Sydney from lockdown in New Zealand, Bonnie teamed up with longtime collaborator David Trumpmanis to bring it to life.
Bonniesongs released debut album Energetic Mind via labels Small Pond (UK) and Art As Catharsis (AU) in 2019. The album garnered international radio plays from BBC Radio 6, Triple J, FBi Radio, and RTRFM, as well as press coverage from Paste Magazine, London In Stereo, The Line of Best Fit, CLASH, Tone Deaf, Everything Is Noise, Overdrive Magazine, and a host more.
