Hometown to notable talents like Bow Wow, and Trippie Redd, Columbus, Ohio introduces Boog The Bandit, one of the hottest new artists to come out in 2020. Her unique persona and versatile sound have grown her cult following exponentially almost overnight, and continues to draw the attention of fans and supporters worldwide.
Attending an art and technical high school in Columbus, the inception of her interest in music began as a teenager.
Boog briefly studied at Columbus State before fully pivoting into a career in art and music. While visiting New York, her passion for creating was ignited. She explains, “Columbus is small. New York opened my eyes to a whole world out there.” Since then, she’s posed as a streetwear model for brands like Sprayground, Black Pyramid (Chris Brown), and Dipset, as she continues to pursue music.
Boog is signed to Atlanta-based Music the Label, founded and run by music veteran Anthony “T.A,” Tate. When describing her sound, she says “It’s urban/alternative, but I make music for everyone.” She’s not joking. Her list of influences is as diverse as her style, citing Billie Eilish, Chris Brown, and the Backstreet Boys as some of her favorite artists.
Her breakout single Hot Topic, produced by JVKE (the artist/producer behind TikTok smash record Upside Down) & Zach dropped on November 13, 2020. Since then, she’s appeared on stations like 106.7 The Beat in Columbus to talk about her single, Hot Topic, and upcoming EP titled 222.
