Booksmarts

Booksmarts is an emo band from Lancaster, PA. Inspired by midwest emo bands of the 90's/00's and the progressive, rhythmic-heavy sound of math rock, Alan Hale, Gordon Brown, and Andrew Sterner started jamming in the spirit of the twinkle gods before them. The band recorded a 5 song debut EP, "Everything's Worse Here", with Cory Paternoster (SunNotYellow, The Mellowells) at Noisy Little Critter Records in Thorndale. To kick off the release of the debut EP, these sad boys hosted a gig in the basement, thus bringing to life Sir Duke, a DIY space in Lancaster City. Long live.
