Bordeaux Lip

A film noir, described by an overzealous millenial, sugar-coated with three different Instagram Filter – that's bordeaux lip. With their second longplayer «Colourgraded», the band fronted by singer Neil Nein gives you long awaited answers on all the bitter questions, that taunt you late at night. Manic-depressive, cheeky and with a blind spot for grey areas.
It was sudden and definitely not pretty when Neil's previous formation Loreley & Me broke apart. To make up for the loss he called up his long time band bordeaux lip to meet in a cold cellar and shake the dust off their instruments. With his personal crisis clinging to his back like a monkey, he experimented with guitar feedbacks, glitches, autotune and other monstrosities. The blueprint for «Colourgraded» was born. «Down with the conventions of classic guitar music!» was his mantra. The
result? Anti-Garage: Twelve songs made with a DIY-Philosophy, each one showcasing a raw session between concrete walls, as well as the endless possibilities of digital production. While others brag about expensive recording studios, bordeaux lip are just happy if the laptop isn't crashing in the middle of a song.
