Born Again Virgin is an act from Austin, Texas now based in London, England consisting of solo artist Anna Roenigk. Her first self-titled EP, produced by Brian Beattie (Daniel Johnston, Bill Callahan, Okkervil River), was released independently in 2017. Inspired by 90’s rock and songwriters like Rufus Wainwright, the EP explores both dissonant and melodic sensibilities—some tracks echoing 90’s lo-fi grunge and others exploring chamber pop theatrics. Roenigk made a move to London, UK in 2019 and the singles "Nothing in Your Eyes" and "Spider in the Snow" followed. Since 2020, Roenigk has teamed up with French producer Emmanuelle LeCann and co-produced singles "King of the World," "This Town Isn't Shit Without You,” Sparklehorse cover “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Bird of Prey,” and their newest single "Golden Earth.”
