A techno-pop production team on one of Cologne, Germany's many superb electronic labels, Italic, Borneo & Sporenburg are just as likely to produce tasteful, minimal tech-house as they are likely to produce something that sounds like a cross between smooth soul and mid-'80s sophisti-pop. Simultaneously hailing from Zurich and Stuttgart, Borneo (Daniel Varga) and Sporenburg (Frank Wössner) are equally inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:0yNLKJebCb8Aueb54LYya3">New Order</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1GlO6fbTFkwP6CyQgsjSoe">Mike Ink</a>. The duo released their debut album, Remember Today, in 2002. A pair of singles were issued in support of the album, including "Wiedersehen," featuring heavily treated vocals from occasional collaborator Philippe.
